HIGH-HOPES EARLY LEARNING CENTER

High-Hopes Early Childhood Development Center, located in the informal settlement community of Syferfontein opened its doors on 6 February 2022. Birthed in the hearts of 3 remarkable ladies, Edwardine Ferendale, Sarah Coetzee & Jana Boom, they decided to open the facility following the closure by the creche facility where they were all employed as educators was closed and all structures removed by the previous NGO who operated the facility.  This action had a devastating impact on this impoverished community, as parents who were working no longer had a learning centre in the community but lacked a safe environment for their children while they were at work.

In the latter part of the same month, Edwardine reached out to Arms of Love for support. As ECD is close to our hearts and this impoverished community had no other similar facility within a 8km radius, we immediately came alongside them in order to make a difference in the lives of the children of Syferfontein.

Our goal is to add two additional classrooms, and a home-work facility where school going children can come for individual assistance by qualified tutors with homework or assignments. These communities do not have access to computers, libraries or internet facilities.

WE ARE CURENTLY RAISING FUNDS FOR:-

1 New classroom
Insulation for ceiling and inner sides of corrugated structure
Grass for play area
Jungle gym and other outdoor play area equipment

Alone we can make a small difference,
but together we can change a community.
